Bali Puja or Diwali Padva 2021: Bali Pratipada story and significance.

Bali Puja or Diwali Padva 2021: Bali Pratipada story and significance:

The Hindu festival of Bali Puja, also known as Bali Pratipada or Bali Padva, takes place on the fourth day of Diwali. The theoretical homecoming of the daitya-king Bali to earth is symbolised by Bali Pratipada. It is the beginning of the bright lunar fortnight and the first day of the Hindu month Kartika. It is the traditional New Year Day in Vikram Samvat in areas of Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Karnataka.

Balipratipada marks Mahabali's annual return to earth and Vamana's victory — one of Vishnu's many creative incarnations and the fifth in the Dashavatara list. It commemorates Vishnu's triumph over Mahabali and all asuras after his transformation into Trivikrama.

A monarch named Bali rose to prominence in ancient times. He ruled the entire world and imprisoned all of the gods, including Lakshmi. Then Vishnu disguised himself as a dwarf and went to the victim's yajna, pleading for three acres of land. Vamana received Tripadbhumi from the victim. In just two steps, the dwarf covered both the earth and the sky. When Vamana asked where the third step should go, the victim bowed his head and told him to put it there. The dwarf shoved the victim into the abyss with his foot on his head. All the gods were released, including Lakshmi, and they all went to sleep in the ocean of milk. All of this took place throughout the three days between Ashwin Vadya Triodashi and Amavasya. Following Lakshmi's release, the practise of adoring her began in order for her to be happy for the rest of her life.

According to the Puranas, Lakshmi travels all over the world on the night of Ashwini's new moon, looking for a suitable spot to live. Lakshmi prefers to live in a home with charismatic, diligent, temperate, devout, God-fearing, and forgiving men and women.

'Kartik Shu,' Vamana said as he took the third step on Baliraja's head and lifted him before he plummeted into the abyss. People will commemorate you on the day of Pratipada.' Following Krishna's blessings to Baliraja, it became usual to combine Balipratipada and Diwali celebrations.

Diwali Padva:

One of the three and a half moments is Padva. Traders regard Diwali Padwa as the start of the new year from a financial standpoint. For Lakshmi Prapti, merchants begin the year by adoring new books. Before beginning the new Kird Khatavani books, they are honoured with turmeric-kumkum, smell, flowers, and akshata. The woman creates rangoli around the pot at home in the evening, and the husband axes the husband and wraps the wife.
